RE: Desktop VS Laptop
I'm used to my desktop because it's easy, faster and I can organise the table it's on around it. plus, you can probably fit more stuff on it. Laptops are good for if I wanna use the computer elsewhere, because the portability is basically what it's best for. I don't think either is better than the other because they both have their pros and cons and it depends what kind you need.

RE: Desktop VS Laptop
It would be a desktop for me. I like being able to remove hardware components at will, it gives me a certain amount of control on what things I can upgrade and when. The fact that its also a lot cheaper is an added advantage.

RE: Desktop VS Laptop
I think a laptop is better for me, except for my Toshiba Satellite.. It's been heating up and shutting off eversince I got it. I love laptops because of their portability!

RE: Desktop VS Laptop
Hmm, well ... IMO, you get a Laptop with the specifications you have in mind a bit more expensive than a comparable desktop. Understandable, cause of the compactness.
That said, if your more of an email/ Word/ Excel and Web Browsing user, a Laptop would be really comfy. However, you'll have to keep charging it when its not connected to the power supply. On the other hand, a computer is obviously better for Gaming/ Video editing purposes ... Laptops, with sufficient memmory can run graphic intensive programs like ACAD, 3d Max etc ... but the recent Dual CORE PCs are much better in that aspect. ... Check out some hardware review sites and consider what suits you the best! .. Good luck |
