I was first using CuteFTP but than found the lovely Filezilla and I'm using it ever since. I was always trying to go for somethin open source.

Here is an example: I use FileZilla because it's free, fairly easy to use and resembles Mozilla :P

Fast and a good gui.

i use cuteftp pro 8 for normal files transfer
but use ssh-client 5.x for ssh-based tranfer with more security files transfer protection
